MSI’s latest series of motherboards, suitably titled “Godlike”, is ushered in with the X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard.

Based on the X99 chipset and adorned in the usual red and black, this top of the line motherboard is outfitted with just about everything MSI could think of or pack onto its silicon.

Some of its features include support for USB Type-A as well as Type-C, Turbo M.2 connectivity, Killer DoubleShot X-3 Pro Ethernet connectivity, Audio Boost 3 Pro and RGB LED lights.

Turbo M.2 connectivity means that the X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard is compatible with the latest high speed PCI-E SSDs through an NVMe interface. That essentially boils down to massive data throughput.

Killer DoubleShot-X3 Pro, on the other hand, amalgamates dual Ethernet connectors as well as the on-board WiFi together into one, for all intents and purposes “Super”, LAN connection. Add in a network manager that optimises applications and you’ve got a faster connection than almost any other motherboard can manage.

Like with any high-end enthusiast motherboard, the X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard supports Intel’s Core i7 LGA 2011-3 processors, 4-Way NVIDIA SLI & AMD CrossFire and Quad Channel DDR4 3400+ memory.

And for a little more “oomph”, the motherboard features MSI’s turbo socket, which makes use of a few additional pins to allow for higher memory speeds and more overclocking as a result.

MSI’s latest mega motherboard isn’t going to be cheap, not by a long shot, but there’s a lot to it, and then some.

Heck, it even includes a great software suite (including XSplit and OC Genie 4), higher than average audio quality and RGB LED lights – so it’s going to glow something fancy in the dark.
