Finally, the weekend is here, and with it comes some gaming deals from local retailers, including some console, gaming and peripheral specials.

With the recent release of God of War 3 Remastered, Game has bundled the enhanced action game with a PS4 console, one DualShock 4 controller and a 90 day PS Plus voucher for R5,900.

Musica has a white limited edition Xbox One bundle, which includes a 500GB console, one controller and Sunset Overdrive, all for R5,999.95.

The Last of Us special (Takealot) – R329

The multi-award winning horror adventure game from Naughty Dog, The Last of Us, has been discounted on Takealot. It is now priced at R329.

Battlefield Hardline special (Raru) – R599

The cops-and-robbers Battlefield spin-off, Hardline, is on special for R599 from Raru. Both the Xbox One and PS4 version are available.

God of War games special (Game) – R200

To celebrate the release of God of War 3 Remastered on PS4 this week, Game has discounted the past PS3 God of War games, pricing them at R200 each. Games available include God of War collection (God of War 1 and 2), God of War Collection 2 (God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta), God of War 3, and God of War: Ascension.

If you’re looking to pick up a PS3, two controllers and a bunch of games, local retailer Game has a bundle which includes all four PS3 God of War games (Collection 1 & 2, Ascension and God of War 3), all for R3,500.

Makro game specials (Makro) – various prices

Makro is currently running a promotion on a number of gaming titles. Some of the standout ones include Dead Space 3 on PS3 for R179, Infamous on PS3 for R149, and Metro Redux (available on PS4 and Xbox One) for R399.

Xbox One price-drop (all retailers) – R5,499

The Xbox One price drop, which was announced by Prima Interactive this week, cuts R800 off the recommended retail price of standard Xbox One consoles. The 500GB console will now be available for R5,499. down from the previous RRP of R6,299.

CNA gaming sale (CNA) – various prices

Local retailer CNA has revealed a wealth of new gaming and console specials as part of its Power Up sale which is running from 22 July – 10 August.

Not all titles are available online, but the sale is available in stores too. Special prices available while stocks last.
