New Game Plus mode confirmed for The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

In a previous article, we said that there was a possibility that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt could receive a New Game Plus mode. Well, it seems our assumptions were correct.

The most wanted game mode will be making its way to the game in an upcoming DLC. The Witcher 3 developer, CD Projekt RED, revealed the awesome news via Facebook and Twitter.

To many gamers, The Witcher 3 is already a hugely expansive game which they’ve spent many hours getting lost in.

With the addition of a New Game Plus mode, gamers’ playtime will be doubled from a 100 hours or so to infinity and beyond.

What this means is kissing your free time as well as the real world goodbye, all when this new DLC arrives.

Just remember to remind your loved ones that you’ll be taking an extensive, or perhaps indefinite, vacation in the Northern Realms of The Witcher 3.

The new DLC will be free, as previous pieces of DLC have been, and will be available for all versions of the game. However, there is no word yet on when this DLC will be officially released to eager fans.

All CD Projekt RED had to say in regard to how long until the DLC is out is “we need a little bit more time to finish it”, and so the release date remains undetermined at this point in time.

But this still is great news for The Witcher 3 fans who want to enjoy more of the game’s goodness. We are certainly excited about this news!
