Retail gaming specials this weekend - Wolfenstein: The New Order

With September coming to an end, local retailers are delivering some pretty alluring gaming specials this weekend.

But if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t panic – we’ve wrapped up all the biggest gaming deals for your convenience (you can pay us in high-fives later).

Here’s the best of the best this week:

Xbox One bundle deal (Game 4 U) – R5,499

Local retailer Game 4 U has an Xbox One bundle on promotion this weekend, which includes a 500GB console, one controller and two games, FIFA 16 and Gears of War Ultimate Edition, all for R5,699.

PS4 console and games bundle (Game) – R5,999

If you’re looking for a substantial start to your games library and console bundle, Makro has a 500GB PS4 console, one DualShock 4 controller and three games, Driveclub, The Order: 1886 and FIFA 16, all for R5,999.

You also get a soccer ball thrown in for extra measure.

PES 2016 special (CNA) – various prices

CNA has the brand-new Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 on special for R599.90 on PS4 or Xbox One. It’s also R499.90 on Xbox 360 or PS3, and R299.90 on PC.

BT Games Summer Madness Sale (BT Games) – various prices

BT Games is celebrating the warm weather by dropping prices on games and consoles this weekend.

Some of the specials include PS4 and Xbox One games going for prices between R299.90 and R499.90. Some of the standout titles include Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4/Xbox One) for R299.90, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (Xbox One/PS4) for R399.90 and Dying Light (Xbox One/PS4) for R499.90.

PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 games are also on special. Some of the great games include Batman: Arkham Origins (PC) for R99.90, Red Dead Redemption: GOTY Edition (Xbox 360/PS3) for R299.90 and Hitman: Absolution (Xbox 360/PS3) for R199.90.

To celebrate the opening of the BT Games store in Clearwater Mall (JHB), the retailer has some specials on Xbox One and PS4 games, as well as a the 500GB Xbox One console and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle.

2 for R500 special (Musica) – 2 for R500

Musica is also promoting its Xbox 360 and PS3 titles, offering two selected games from the Xbox 360 or PS3 library for R500.

Some of the better titles on offer include Far Cry 3, Crysis 2, Hitman: Absolution, Just Cause 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Sleeping Dogs and Max Payne 3.
