3 biggest games of October we hope meet our expectations

October is set to be a massive month for gaming, and with so many titles coming our way, expectations are at an all time high.

Here’s the 3 games we hope most live up to the hype.

That’s not to say we don’t want every game that releases to meet our expectations, but even when all games are equal, some are more equal than others. Catch our drift?

Transformers: Devastation

We’ve certainly had some fun with the Transformers games that released alongside the big-screen counterparts, but no game has truly captured the nostalgia and vivid visuals of the G1 cartoon, until now that is.

Transformers: Devastation is an upcoming beat-’em-up action game based on the original Transformers cartoon series from the ’80s.

What’s even better is that the talented, and perhaps crazy, minds at Platinum Games (Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Bayonetta) are developing this one.

Players will be able to control one of five Autobots: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack and Grimlock as they battle against Decepticon forces in large 3D environments. We’re ready to roll out for this one.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

The next instalment in the much-loved Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, series has piqued our interest.

After the somewhat underwhelming Unity, the franchise is making a jump from Paris to Victorian-era London, a city that looks absolutely alive and just begging to be explored.

The movement and fluidity looks amazing, and the addition of a rope launcher should propel the game to new heights, quite literally.

Halo 5: Guardians

Coming later this month is the next major episode in what is arguably the most beloved first-person shooter series of all time. The Halo franchise is nearly synonymous with the Xbox brand, so Halo 5: Guardians is a huge deal for Microsoft.

We’ve seen quite a bit of multiplayer footage, but little of the campaign and its cryptic story.

What we do know is that the mercenary Spartan Locke will feature heavily alongside Master Chief, but they won’t exactly be buddies, as Locke is hunting down the iconic hero this time around.

There will, however, be an onslaught of awesome military and alien weaponry, some crazy enemies, and some pretty spectacular fire-fights coming our way in Halo 5.
