Canal Walk, Cape Town and BT Games to host Gaming Expo

Canal Walk Shopping Centre will host a gaming expo from 27 October to 1 November 2015 with BT Games.

The expo will be held in the mall’s Centre Court and will run from 09:00 to 21:00 every day.

The event will feature competitions, new game launches, cosplay, and many other activities.

Some of the events on the schedule include:

  • Guitar Hero play-offs – winner gets a hamper plus a Guitar Hero starter pack.
  • Just Dance dance-offs – winner wins a selfie stick, copy of the game, and speakers.
  • Cosplay – Saturday finals. Anyone can enter. Prize to be confirmed.
  • Sphero BB8 challenge. Saturday final on stage, with entrants randomly selecred from the crowd. They must complete a course with BB8 and can win the Sphero BB8 droid.
  • Metal Earth – timed race on Saturday and Sunday. Each day one winner will win a set of different Metal Earth kits.
  • Forza 6 race-off Saturday and Sunday. Finals run on Sunday, prize is an Xbox One console with Forza 6 game.
  • Turtle Beach headset give-away.

    Either I missed the advertising for this or it hasn’t been advertised well and from a Tuesday is a weird day, well IMO, would of been nice too see the setup though.
