Sony’s very own official retail outlet, sonystyle.com, has caused an internet groundswell by posting a tentative release date for the massively anticipated racing simulator, Gran Turismo 5.
According to the site, the game will be “available on or about 11/30/2010.” Poor choice of phrasing notwithstanding, the listing is vague at best. However, earlier this week, Polyphoney Digital big cheese Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that development on the game was complete, and that disks were already being pressed.
So, it is actually perfectly reasonable to expect a late November release. At any rate, it looks like we will finally see an end to the GTV5 production saga, unless, and this would hardly be shocking, it faced yet another unforeseen delay.
Here’s holding thumbs that it will at least be out in time for Christmas.
