The Game Awards 2015

The Game Awards 2015, the supposed premiere awards ceremony for games, will be happening today at 9pm ET / 6pm PT – that’s 4am in the morning for us.

And while the nominees and awards are only partially interesting, we’re looking forward to the many premieres and demonstrations promised.

This year we’re getting trailer premieres demonstrating gameplay from Far Cry: Primal and Quantum Break, and even DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider called Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, which we’re very excited for ourselves.

But we’ve seen some hints of what could be Mass Effect: AndromedaHalo 5 and perhaps more in the trailer above.

They’re just snippets of course, and fly by too fast to confirm, but oh the sweet possibilities. There’s even a Goat Simulator announcement apparently.

The Occulus Rift was also featured in The Game Awards 2015 trailers, and there’s definitely an announcement there so be on the look-out for that.

The official stream will be available on YouTube Gaming rather than Twitch this time around.  You can watch it here and even set a reminder for the awards show.

Actually, there is one award we’re happy to see announced: the Industry Icon Award which will be going to Westwood Studios, a studio we dearly miss and absolutely adored.
