Mass Effect 2 for PS3 gets interactive comic, free DLC, more stuff

8 November 2010

PS3 gamers waiting to get their space opera on with Mass Effect 2 can go yelling in triumph to Xbox and PC gamers – according to a post over on Bioware’s forums, the PS3 version of the game is set to (space)ship with the game’s three main DLC expansions, Kasumi’s Stolen Memory, Overlord, and Lair of the Shadow Broker. The information comes allegedly from an interview with BioWare’s Casey Hudson in German gaming mag Play3.

The post’s all in foreign, but my Cerberus Industries, Inc Xeno-Buddy (Don’t Leave the Universe Without It!) says it also talks about an interactive comic from Dark Horse revealing the back story from the first game, and allowing players to make all the significant decisions required. Real winners kill Ashley.

Finally, there’s apparently an exclusive six-hour mission included, although no additional details are provided. I’m guessing it probably features a lot of shooting stuff.

Mass Effect 2 for PS3 launches in January 2011.
