PlayStation has launched a new messaging app for iOS and Android, called PlayStation Messages.
“This new app helps you contact your PSN friends in a quicker, easier way than ever before,” said the division of Sony.
PlayStation Messages allows you to:
- Check your Friends List to see who’s online and what they’re playing.
- Send text messages or voice messages to friends or to groups of friends.
- Upload and share your attachments and swap PlayStation-themed stickers.
- Search for and add new PlayStation Network contacts.
The existing PlayStation App will continue to support features such as:
- Managing game downloads.
- Controlling your PS4 remotely.
- Acting as a second screen to certain titles.
