Xbox LIVE Gold members can this week pick up the indie brawling hit Scott Pilgrim VS. The World at a 50% reduced price of 400 MS points.
The game was released to coincide with the movie of the same name – both based on a graphic novel series. Since its release Scott Pilgrim VS. The World has received plenty of critical praise and various downloadable game awards. It currently sits with an average rating of 74/100 on Metacritic based on 24 reviews.
The story goes that up to four players can take on the role of characters Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Kim Pine and Stephen Hills and battle through seven levels in order to defeat Ramona’s seven evil exes.
The gameplay is that of a straightforward brawler. Smack enemies about, gather money for purchasing upgrades, repeat until victory ensues. Have a look at the video below for a sample of the beat ‘em up carnage.
