All signs point to The Witcher 3’s final expansion, Blood and Wine, being the best, most complete experience yet.
The expansion was initially teased by Community Lead and Website Coordinator at CD Projekt RED, Marcin Momot, who, when referring to the expansion’s features and changes on Twitter, called it “AWESOME!”
In a meeting looking at all these new features/changes coming to @witchergame with #BloodandWine expansion pack. One word – AWESOME!

Minus a few vibrant, really quite enchanting screenshots, that tweet is all we’ve gotten out of the game’s developers. Thankfully, senior writer Jakub Szamalek has broken the silence.
During an interview with Eurogamer Italy, Szamalek said that Blood and Wine would be “better than the main game.”
As far as Szamalek is concerned, Wild Hunt lacked a charismatic enemy, something that Blood and Wine addresses. This latest antagonist, Szamalek believes, is both unique and memorable and should sell the plot of Geralt’s final adventure.
The expansion will also introduce players to an all new region, Toussaint, as well as its capital city of Beauclair – both of which are a sight to behold.
The final expansion also incorporates everything the team has learnt since the release of Wild Hunt. They’ve also apparently taken a lot of the feedback and criticism received for both Wild Hunt as well as Hearts of Stone and used it in the development of the conclusion to it all.
Frankly, we can’t wait for this one last 20 hour hurrah.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Blood and Wine is set to release in the first half of 2016, and then it’s onto Cyberpunk 2077 for CD Projekt RED.
