Grab your free copy of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox

There’s little doubt that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a fantastic game and a sublime experience, but it’s easy to forget how great of a title The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings was.

Looking to remind everyone, now that the Xbox One is backwards compatible with The Witcher 2, CD Projekt RED have announced that you can download the second title in the franchise for free, for Xbox One.

If you haven’t played The Witcher 2, we’d highly suggest you take this opportunity to score yourself a copy of one of the finest RPGs released for the Xbox 360.

Even if you’ve never played The Witcher 3, The Witcher 2 stands as a great entry into the franchise.

While CD Projekt RED themselves state that the game is only free for the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany, it does seem to be free on our own local Xbox Live as well. You should also be able to grab a copy for your Xbox 360 if you haven’t got an Xbox One yet.

The deal ends on February 5th, but it may end sooner for us. Grab your copy here.
