Good Old Games – or GOG – will be breaking its own “RETRO OR GTFO” rule next May when it launches CD Projekt’s The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, according to Eurogamer’s industry spies. Since GOG is actually owned and operated by CD Projekt, of course, it’s not exactly a massive shocker.
What is interesting about this, however, is that The Witcher 2 is launching 100% DRM-free, just like the rest of GOG’s catalogue. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE. As a special offer, GOG is also chucking in a free game with orders, offering one of five classic RPGs – Gothic 2 Gold, Realms of Arkania 1 + 2 (as one bundle), Realms of Arkania 3, Divine Divinity, or Beyond Divinity. You’ll also get the game’s soundtrack as well as four extra songs that didn’t make the final cut, 10 avatars for GOG’s forum, a digital art book, 10 HD wallpapers, and a photo tour of CD Projekt’s RED offices.
