Following the news that Diablo 2 received a new patch, it comes as no surprise that the legendary RTS Warcraft 3 is receiving its own patch.
Tomorrow, March 15, marks the day that Warcraft 3 will be receiving a new patch.
The last update for the game came out four years ago, with patch 1.26a in 2011.
This upcoming patch follows hot on the heels of the Diablo 2 patch announcement with Blizzard hinting at the inclusion of new updates for older Blizzard titles.
With this announcement, we could certainly see some updates for other Blizzard games like the original Diablo and Starcraft.
The news came from Robert Bridenbecker, Head of Blizzard’s Classic Games Group.
Bridenbecker revealed the upcoming patch via this YouTube video, which you can watch below:
The video was released for the Warcraft 3 community based in China. There are no specifics about what exactly the patch will include, but it’s assumed to make Warcraft 3 play nice on modern operating systems.
We will have to wait for tomorrow to see what the patch actually brings to the table. Perhaps, there may even be a Starcraft patch in the works?
