Killer Instinct launches on PC

30 March 2016

Xbox title Killer Instinct has launched on PCs alongside the Season 3 update for the game.

The game is available to download from the Windows Store for free, although the game does offer various microtransactions.

The multiplayer fighting game has previously been available on the Xbox One, and console players will continue to receive updates as normal. Additionally, cross-play is enabled between Windows 10 devices and the Xbox One, allowing PC gamers to play against Xbox One players.

The release of the title on the Windows Store means that console gamers can log in to the PC client and retain their saves from their Xbox One game, as they are saved to the gaming account.

Killer Instinct’s payment model relies on microtransactions, which include the purchase of different characters and in-game bundles. The base game is completely free, although gameplay is relatively limited without the purchase of character bundles.

Killer Instinct is available for free download from the Windows Store.
