The Games with Gold and Playstation Plus titles have been announced for April 2016, so we investigated which lineup offers the best value.
Customers have to pay for Xbox Live Gold and Playstation Plus in order to access their consoles’ online services, but the free games given away every month are still a major point of contention.

It’s worth noting that the Playstation Plus subscription includes two more games than Games with Gold (six as opposed to four), but the games are limited to two on each platform unless cross-platform play is strictly specified .

Xbox 360 owners receive two free games a month and Xbox One owners receive four (including the two Xbox 360 games through backwards compatibility).

Despite fewer games being offered across the service, Microsoft’s Gold deals can be considered a better deal both financially and critically.
There is no accounting for personal preference, and maybe some games appeal to you more than others, irrespective of their value.

Xbox One owners have the ability to play all 4 games. PS4 owners can only play 2. In order for PS Plus subscribers to play 6 games, you need to own 3 consoles.
