CHOO CHOO, ALL ABOARD THE TREASURE SHOE! Steam’s launched a festive Great Steam Treasure Hunt promo, with loads and loads of games up for grabs. The concept’s simple enough:
1. Play games
2. Complete objectives
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!
Or, in slightly more detail, between now and 20 December, Steam’s web elves will post a bunch of game-specific daily challenges. Complete ten of these during this time, and log onto Steam on the last day to stand a chance to win 100 games. Or, basically, just do what you’d probably do anyway, and stand a chance to win 100 games.
The challenges will be game specific, and the first round challenges require R.U.S.E, Poker Night at the Inventory, and Chime. Incidentally, all three of these games have had their prices reduced for the duration of the challenge.
New challenges for the 8th and 9th will be posted later today, so keep an eye on Steam to find out whether you have the required games to enter.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE. Every two days, 20 randomly picked players will win 5 games off their Steam wishlist. There’s also a bunch of Team Fortress 2 hats, awarded for completing 5, 15, and 28 objectives.
