Korean student dies after 12-hour FPS gaming session

30 December 2010

A 19-year old Korean student known only as “Moon” has dropped dead after a 12-hour gaming session in a local internet parlour. Apparently he started off around 2am, took a break at 10.30am to grab some food, and resumed playing shortly thereafter. He later collapsed and was rushed off to hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival.

According to the Korea Times, the guy’s family and friends say that Moon “habitually played the online shooting game,” although what game that actually was is currently unconfirmed. Police are currently investigating.

It’s sad and everything, but 12 hours? What a noob. This Korean clocked 86 hours before dying.
