HTC Vive Business Edition unveiled: pricing and details

HTC has announced a new VR headset, the Vive Business Edition (Vive BE).

The new headset’s goal is to capture the huge demand from industries worldwide to employ virtual reality technology in commercial applications.

Here is what you can expect in the Vive BE package:

  • Complete Vive BE System
    • Vive BE Headset
    • Vive BE Controllers x2
    • Vive BE Base Stations x2
    • Vive BE 3-in-1 Cable
    • Vive BE Face Cushions x4
  • Dedicated Vive Business Edition customer support line
  • 12-month limited warranty (certain exclusions and limitations apply)

The Vive BE will be sold at $1,200 (R17,800).

The headset will be commercially available before the end of June 2016. There is no information on South African pricing or availability yet.
