Mod support confirmed for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

20 January 2011

One of the features which made The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion such a great game was the ability to create and install custom modifications. A fiercely active community of hobbyist developers has been responsible for a plethora of fantastic mods, from texture overhauls, to gameplay tweaks, quest packs and gameplay revamps.

Good news for PC gamers; Skyrim will be no different and gamers will once again be able to develop their own content for the game, this time using the Creation Kit. This should ensure that there is plenty to do in the game, and we can rest assured that even if the developer does not get Skyrim spot on at release, enthusiastic fans will tweak it to perfection.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is due out on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
