A new South African gaming website has recently launched – Clan Clash – seeking to provide local gaming clans with a gathering point and community platform from which they can organise matches. The website features forums and automated systems for tracking matchmaking and challenges between clans.
One of the goals for the site is to make it easier for gamers to discover other clans competing in their game of choice. Currently there are 35 clans registered.
Recently Clan Clash launched their Challenge system and the associated tracking webpage. This allows clan leaders to open up invitations for challenges, challenge others and schedule match times. The system also tracks and verifies any changes made to the scheduled matches, ensuring everyone remains in the loop.
Currently the website supports the following games:
• Counter-Strike
• Counter-Strike: Source
• Call of Duty 4
• Defence of the Ancients
• Starcraft 2
• Quake Live
• Heroes of Newerth
• Legion Tower Defence
Clan Clash is still branded as ‘beta’ while they grow the community and implement more matchmaking systems. They also have a Facebook page, so if you and your clan are interested in taking part in some competitive play in the local gaming scene, then Clan Clash is certainly a website to earmark for the future.
