Red Dead Redemption coming to Xbox One backwards compatibility

6 July 2016

Rockstar games have confirmed that Red Dead Redemption will finally be heading to Xbox One backwards compatibility.

In a statement made on the official Rockstar newswire, the developers confirmed that the game will be available to download for Xbox One owners on 8 July.

Starting on Friday, every Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 owner will be able to play the game directly on their Xbox One, regardless of which version of the game they own (Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition).

And for those who have yet to experience it, the game will be available to purchase on Friday from the Games Store on Xbox One.

You can currently purchase Red Dead Redemption for R104 (R74.75 for Gold Members) as part of Microsoft’s ongoing Ultimate Game Sale.
