THQ CEO Brian Farrell has confirmed a short delay on the release of Homefront, at least in the US region. This news emerged during an investor call earlier today. The game was originally scheduled for the 8 March, but will now launch on 15 March.
Apparently this was to avoid sharing a release date with Dragon Age II – probably not a bad business move.
MyGaming contacted local distributor of THQ products, Ster Kinekor, to see how this news affects the game release in our neck of the woods. A Ster Kinekor representative confirmed that the PAL region launch was previously scheduled for 11 March.
We are now looking at a release date of “around the 15th,” said Ster Kinekor.
MyGaming’s money is on an actual release date of 18 March, a Friday, as this falls in line with the typical South African release date trends.
THQ also recently revealed some interesting PC specific details along with system requirements, for those PC gamers warming up their rigs for the near-future, post-peak oil, predictive history FPS.
