Paramount Television and Anonymous Content have optioned the rights to a television series based on EA’s Battlefield franchise.

Paramount TV President Amy Powell stated that the loyal Battlefield fan base and the game’s strong narrative would assist in making the show a success.

“EA’s Battlefield has an incredibly dynamic narrative, coupled with a loyal fan base, which will allow us to bring this exciting and unique property to the small screen.”

Anonymous Content will be partnering with Paramount TV on the upcoming project, with Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta serving as executive producers.

“Michael’s track record speaks for itself,” said Patrick O’Brien, Vice President of EA Entertainment.

“Combined with his passion for Battlefield, we cannot imagine a better team than Anonymous Content and Paramount for this project.”

Anonymous Content’s previous projects include Mr. Robot and True Detective.
