The English language version of Two Worlds II has had a tumultuous journey to retail, with release dates changing more frequently than Bobby Kotick changes his solid gold underpants.
The EU multi-language version of the game has been out since November 2010, and although critics had mixed opinions on the title, there was a general consensus that it had enough merit to be deemed a decent game.
Publisher TopWare Interactive decided to hold back a holiday 2010 release to avoid competing for shelf-space with a slew of AAA titles.
UK residents have suffered another setback, with TopWare confirming that a damaged shipment of the product from China means that the date has been pushed back from 18 February to 25 February.
Two Worlds II has arrived on Steam, on schedule – the benefits of digital distribution meaning that shipment delays and product manufacturing aren’t really a problem.
Meanwhile, MyGaming has been trying to sleuth out a local release date for Two Worlds II, getting in touch with local distributor for TopWare, Apex Interactive. Unfortunately, Apex representatives are also trying to answer the same question, and they will let us know as soon as a concrete release date is known.
For now, we can tentatively pencil in a release date based on the previous PAL region date of 18 February, damaged Chinese cargo vessel shipments notwithstanding.
