Openweb has launched a new range of Mega Uncapped ADSL products, which offer uncapped data, plus an 8GB platinum Unshaped Capped ADSL account, and free WiFi. These accounts use the Internet Solutions network.

While the Mega Uncapped ADSL accounts are shaped, the shaping is lifted between midnight and 08:00 on weekdays, and over weekends. A lower contention ratio also applies during these periods.

Pricing for Openweb’s Mega Uncapped ADSL starts at R189 per month for a 1Mbps service, and increases to R749 for a 10Mbps account.

  • 1Mbps Mega Uncapped – R189 per month
  • 2Mbps Mega Uncapped – R299 per month
  • 4Mbps Mega Uncapped – R429 per month
  • 6Mbps Mega Uncapped – R549 per month
  • 10Mbps Mega Uncapped – R749 per month

Each of these uncapped ADSL accounts come with a free 8GB unshaped capped account. This account allows for up to 4 concurrent connections, and acts as a completely separate account.

This means that the 8GB capped account can be used to bypass shaping during working hours, or be given to another user.

These uncapped accounts also come with free WiFi data which can be used at the 1,400 AlwaysOn hotspots in South Africa.
