Capped ADSL price cuts from Web Africa

Web Africa has unveiled its new capped ADSL packages, slashing the price of its previous products and offering data at rates of as low as R1.50 per GB (Full Web Africa capped product details available here).

“This isn’t a short-term promotional exercise. These price reductions are so deep that we believe they will convince many consumers and businesses, who previously felt it was simply too expensive, to switch to ADSL,” said Web Africa CEO Tim Wyatt-Gunning.

Web Africa’s new capped ADSL products offer anytime data and night-time data which can be used between midnight and 06:00.

“For example, if you buy a 40GB package at R149 per month, you get an extra 40GB a month for free between midnight and 6am,” Web Africa explained.

All Web Africa packages come with no contractual commitments, which means customers are free to cancel with a calendar months’ notice at any time.

These price changes come into effect from 4 February 2013 for both new and existing customers.

If I understand it correctly uncapped vs. business uncapped means the business uncapped won’t get throttled if “overused”, does that mean WebAfrica will throttle a capped account? if not what’s the difference between home and business capped accounts?
