Afrihost is planning to pass most of Telkom’s recent wholesale ADSL price reductions (IPC price cuts) on to its subscribers. This is according to Afrihost director Greg Payne.
Telkom reduced its wholesale ADSL (IP Connect or IPC) price by 15% on 1 February 2014.
Many Internet service providers (ISPs) reduced their capped and uncapped ADSL prices over the last few months, prompting Afrihost subscribers to ask when they will see price cuts from the ISP.
Payne said that they are only waiting for confirmation on the savings which they will see following Telkom’s IPC price reductions.
“We are waiting to see how much of the Telkom IPC reduction is passed through to us and our plan is to pass most, if not all of this on to our clients,” said Payne.

Wonder when this is gonna happen.
I’ve been really happy with Afrihost’s service during the two months I’ve been with them after moving from MWEB because of their horrible throttling. Hopefully Afrihost has plans to invest in more available bandwidth so as to make sure that all their customers still experience excellent network quality despite more people joining them.
