Ookla Net Index statistics show that Midrand, Bryanston, and Sandton are the suburbs in South Africa with the highest average mobile broadband speeds.
The Net Index website uses data from millions of test results from Ookla’s Speedtest.net speed test platform to provide statistics on broadband speeds.
According to the Net Index stats, Midrand had the highest average mobile download speed with 22.50Mbps, followed by Bryanston on 14.46Mbps, and Sandton on 14.06Mbps.
The results further showed that most of the top mobile broadband suburbs are in Gauteng.

The Net Index website further showed that Vodacom was the top mobile provider, followed by MTN, Telkom, and Cell C.
