I live in an area where Telkom are busy installing fibre. Would I be able to use Voda as the ISP as an example? Or because its Telkom’s fibre, we can only use them? If that’s the case, then its a race to secure as many areas as possible and you have a secured user base! Sounds very monopolistic. Way worse than Telkom owning all the copper, but you are able to use any ISP for line rental and data.
