Crystal Web’s massive gaming plans

Crystal Web

Crystal Web is one of South Africa’s newest Internet Service Providers, but the company is confident that it offers great value to gamers.

Crystal Web CEO Shaun Kaplan said every single home product offered by Crystal Web is gaming and streaming orientated, but some provide additional features.

“In 2015 we ran a trial with numerous gaming groups where we offered free Internet, with gaming as the overall top priority over all other services on the entire network,” he said.

“It proved an incredibly successful trial, and we thereafter built this feature into our premium home uncapped products free of charge and by default.”

Kaplan said that ensuring gaming traffic takes a high priority on the network is absolutely vital.

He said they invested heavily in their uncapped product development to ensure a superior network quality and experience for users, particularly in latency-sensitive sectors like gaming.

“As we invest in making the network highly scalable and even more efficient, gamers can expect to reap rewards in terms of latencies,” said Kaplan.

“We already offer some of the lowest latencies you’ll find, and terrific stability, but we aim to do even better using some innovative techniques and technology.”

He added that they are also working behind the scenes on “revolutionising the last mile access, and gamers will be benefactors of these changes”.
