Large parts of Europe are currently experiencing massive Internet issues, reports the Independent.

TeliaSonera’s translatlantic network, which helps connect Europe and the USA, is currently undergoing an outage.

“Many of the world’s most popular apps – including WhatsApp, Reddit and Slack – are reported to be having problems, meaning that they are slow or completely inaccessible for many users.”

It has also led to issues with content delivery site CloudFlare, who have confirmed they are currently working on the issue.

While this shouldn’t effect any South African websites, it may explain why you are battling to access some of your favourite European ones.

Are any of your favourite European websites down? Let us know in the comments below and in our forums.
