MyGaming recently published an article regarding international price increases for PlayStation Plus, raising concern that we could see similar increases in South Africa.
We reached out to local distributor Ster Kinekor to determine whether these price increases will extend to South Africa.
The official response is that for the time being, there are no planned price increases in South Africa.
That means local PlayStation owners will continue to pay R749 for a year’s subscription, R219 for three months, and R99 for a single month.
Xbox Gamers recently faced a massive increase for Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, as the subscription as prices increased by close to 218%.
