This is why South Africans are struggling to play Blizzard games online

Update: Blizzard has stated that the network issues it was experiencing have been resolved.


Want to play a quick game of Overwatch? What about a quick round of Heartshtone?

You may be waiting a while, as many European and South African gamers are reporting issues with Blizzard’s Battle.net servers.

Blizzard have subsequently confirmed that its EU servers were the target of a DDos attack.

There is no word yet as to when we should expect the servers to be back online but we will keep you updated when Blizzard issues a fix.
