IGN Africa is back online

It looks like IGN Africa is back online, despite recent money issues and downtime.

The website has been experiencing difficulties recently, with ex-publisher Chris Mostert stating that he did not want to pay the amount requested by IGN for their license, and would prefer to pay for the license in Rands to avoid the price skewing caused by the Rand/Dollar exchange rate.

After this, the website did not publish any more articles for a brief period of time and then promptly shut down.

After an extended downtime during which the website redirected users to the IGN international website, the IGN Africa website now seems to be back online.

Despite being back online for weeks, it has not published any original local content aside from a recently-published report on Destiny of Ancient Kingdoms.

IGN Africa has not yet responded to our requests for comment.
