Bulletstorm DLC announced before game even hits retail

23 February 2011

Bulletstorm has barely arrived on store shelves and via digital downloads in the North American region, and Europe and South Africa are still waiting their turn, yet Epic Games have already announced the first paid DLC pack for the game.

I know gamers can usually be milked for cash quite easily, but this is getting a bit gratuitous. Likely we’ll soon be able to pre-order our downloadable content that should have been in the game anyway add-ons before games have even launched.

The Bulletstorm Gun Sonata DLC will sell for US$9.99 (±R70) or 800 Microsoft Points on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, and it will launch sometime during the southern hemisphere Autumn.

There’s no mention of the PC version yet. The pack includes three new maps for the Anarchy Mode, and two new maps for the Echo mode. Two new Leash weapon enhancements will also be included named the Flamingo and the Pulp.
