Game developers have voted for their best games of 2010 in the Game Developers Choice awards, and the choices were surprisingly unsurprising with staple ‘best of 2010’ winner Red Dead Redemption stealing the show.
Having said that, developers showed their class by selecting current indie darling Minecraft as the best debut game of the year.

Numerous publications and organisations began weighing in on their 2010 game of the year nominees towards the end of last year, but the GDC awards represent the feelings of those working in the industry. This should give us an idea of what industry professionals are currently aspiring to.
