The UK PlayStation Magazine has reported that Activision will be unveiling the next iteration of the top-selling Call of Duty series with a trailer this month.
The last CoD – Call of Duty: Black Ops – was revealed with a trailer on the last day of April 2010, so it makes sense that this year’s annual release will follow the same marketing and launch schedule.
Meanwhile, with many key Infinity Ward employees having left the lead CoD studio, many will be curious as to whether Modern Warfare 3 will deliver the goods. CoD titles topically release in November, which incidentally is where EA seems to be aiming with Battlefield 3.
With both games set in a modern warfare setting, it looks like the real battle will be for Christmas 2011 and will take place between EA and Activision.
