Nintendo confirms distribution of DOA: Dimensions in SA

Nintendo and Tecmo Koei Europe have today confirmed that they have entered into a distribution agreement for Dead or Alive: Dimensions. The game is designed for Nintendo’s newly released stereoscopic 3D capable portable gaming system – the Nintendo 3DS.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions will be arriving in May 2011 as part of the launch period line up of games. Under the terms of the agreement Nintendo will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game throughout South African territories, with Tecmo Koei remaining as publisher. 

This marks the first time an instalment of the Dead or Alive fighting game franchise has been made for a Nintendo platform.

The game features 25 playable characters, and the StreetPass system which will can be used to fight with AI controlled fighters. Make enough use of this function and one will be able to unlock prize character figurines as rewards.

The gameplay has been developed so that players can intuitively perform complex fighting combinations utilising the 3DS Touch Screen.
