id Software’s creative director Tim Willits has told Official Xbox Magazine that the developer’s upcoming action FPS will take around 15 hours to complete and the Xbox 360 version will ship on two DVDs.
Apparently the completion time could be longer if you decide to explore the world extensively, but given that this is PR and 15 hours is much longer than most FPSes this generation take to complete, we can also assume that it will take more experienced FPS players much less time.
The PS3 version will take advantage of the massive storage capabilities of Blu-ray, while the Xbox 360 version has been confirmed to ship on multiple disks. We can also assume that the PC version will ship on multiple disks.
Rage is rumoured to be releasing in September 2011, and will be available on all three current generation HD gaming platforms.
