Rumour control: God of War Portable Collection headed to PS3

15 May 2011

Sony’s Taiwan office has apparently announced they’re pushing out a God of War Portable Collection to PS3 for Asian territories sometime in July, according to gaming site Magic Box, who claims the news was included in a local Sony press release but doesn’t actually post any links to an official source.

The collection will allegedly include HD-sexy versions of God of War: Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, both originally developed by Ready at Dawn and released on PSP, and will also include English and Chinese language support.

That’s pretty much all that’s been said for the moment – and there’s no word on a launch schedule for the rest of the planet – and until Sony confirms anything one way or the other, best file this one under “potentially awesome rumours”.

It’s not altogether unlikely, however, as the first two God of War games have already been re-released in HD for PS3, and this would complete the set for the console.
