Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux has been crowned the favourite game industry “hero”, according to a report over on USA Today. In its turn, that’s according to a recent online survey, asking some 9000 game developers to name their favourite peers, ranking them on a scale of 1-10.
Obviously some of the other people featured are predictable enough – Nintendo god Shigeru Miyamoto, Sim-everything Will Wright, and id Software’s John Carmack, for example – although I’d totally never heard of David Braben either.
The full top ten list includes:

4. Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims, Spore)

8. Sid Meier (Sid Meier’s Civilization, Sid Meier’s Pirates)
