Those of you with impeccably good taste might remember that, two or three years back, Gearbox announced they were working on a co-op FPS called Aliens: Colonial Marines, which looked amazing. Then the whole Borderlands and Duke Nukem things happened, and the game sort of tripped and fell off the edge of the universe or something.
Turns out the game is still in development, and is scheduled to appear at E3 in June. Late last night, a number of high profile gaming sites started reporting the recent acquisition of a shabby doll’s head. Just a shabby doll’s head, right?
Wrong. Once again, those of you with impeccably good taste will remember that Rebecca “Newt” Jorden – or, the “They most come at night. Mostly.” girl from Aliens – lugged a shabby doll’s head around for most of the movie. Mostly.
And can you guess who the packages with the shabby doll’s head allegedly came from? Oh, somebody named Rebecca Jorden. Which does seem a bit spooky, since she was killed (SPOILERS). But whatever.
If that’s not enough to persuade you, though, Kotaku admitted they’ve an appointment to see the damn game at E3 anyway.
