As previously hyped most of last week, the first official Gears of War 3 campaign reveal trailer went out over the weekend during some major American sporting event involving balls, and – pretty much as expected – it features plenty of manly men, tentacles, explosions, monsters, and Black Sabbath’s War Pigs. Grunt grunt grunt.
It’s not exactly the biggest year ever for Xbox exclusives, but if the recent beta (or this trailer, for that matter) is anything to go on, Gears of War 3 could probably make up for that all on its own. And no, I’m not just saying that because I have a secret crush on Marcus Fenix. Okay, maybe I am. He’s sooooo butch. And that bandana? Pulling. It. Off.
The game is due to drop on 20 September everywhere. Epic recently yanked the bloody tarp off the game’s various editions, including the ultra-mega-Epic Edition which has an 11-inch PVC statue of Marcus Fenix.
