South African Internet audience statistics — September 2017

Effective Measure has released its latest statistics, which reveal what South Africa’s Internet audience looks like, how they live, and where they spend their time online.

The statistics reveal that there were 41 million unique browsers in the country in September, who were served over 1 billion pages by local websites.

There is an even split between male and female Internet users in South Africa, while 37% of users are married.

The most popular South African website is News24, followed by Gumtree, TimesLive, IOL, and MSN.
