AMD’s Raja Koduri has been hired by Intel

9 November 2017

Intel has hired Raja Koduri to head up its newly-formed Core and Visual Computing group.

Koduri recently resigned as head of Radeon Technologies at AMD and will now serve as Intel chief architect and senior vice president of the group.

“In this position, Koduri will expand Intel’s leading position in integrated graphics for the PC market with high-end discrete graphics solutions for a broad range of computing segments,” said Intel.

Koduri said he was excited to join Intel, and will use his 25 years of experience in computing to accelerate the company’s graphics portfolio.

“I have admired Intel as a technology leader and have had fruitful collaborations with the company over the years,” said Koduri.

This follows Intel’s recent announcement that it will create Kaby Lake chips with integrated graphics from AMD.
