Nintendo’s Project Café has been announced, and is called Wii U. Check out our Wii U announcement article for more.

Original

Without formally announcing the successor to the Wii, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that it will only be released in 2012. This year is apparently all about the 3DS for Nintendo, so you can scratch “Wii 2” off your Christmas list.

Full details about the device will be revealed “later this morning”, which means later this evening in South Africa. We will continue to provide live coverage of Nintendo’s keynote address, as well as everything else E3 related throughout the evening.
