Crunchyroll announced yesterday that it would include Funimation’s entire library of anime in its collection starting from Tuesday, 1 March.
This means that 1600 hours of new content has been added to Crunchyroll’s anime collection, and fans no longer need to pay extra to watch these shows. More Funimation shows are still on the way, and you can view the list of newly added shows here.
Crunchyroll has also announced that any new upcoming series will be exclusive to its platform starting from 1 April, but that Funimation will continue to release episodes of series currently on its platform.

The pricing of the plans available from Crunchyroll will remain the same:
- Fan – $7.99 (R123.64) per month
- Mega Fan – $9.99 (R154.59) per month
- Ultimate Fan – $14.99 (R231.96) per month
Crunchyroll has posted a FAQ page recommending that users with existing Funimation subscriptions cancel these as soon as possible.
Existing Funimation subscribers will also receive an email link with a free 60-day Crunchyroll Premium membership in the next few days.
New Crunchyroll subscribers can also benefit from the free 60-day Premium membership if they sign up for an account.
