While Epic Games’ own Mike Capps has previously said the company “would love” to do Gears of War for PS3, Cliff Bleszinski has officially confirmed that won’t be happening any time soon, or ever at all.
“I would say in the foreseeable future there’s zero chance of Gears of War being on the PlayStation 3,” he tells IndustryGamers. “Can we bury that now? Seriously. It’s like, we have a great deal with Microsoft, they’re a great partner…”

It’s one of those things that would be exciting news,” adds Bleszinski. “Hopefully DualShock would get tweaked a little bit, but anyway, enough about that.”
It does seem rather a shame, though. Perhaps somebody should work out a deal to take Gears of War over to PS3, and bring the Uncharted series over to Xbox as a sort of cultural exchange program. That way, everybody wins.
